[...] I feel these are the TOP TWO appliances that are a MUST HAVE in my raw food kitchen. If I had to choose a third and fourth top appliance, it would be a food processor and a Green Star juicer. I am pretty hardcore with juicing my greens and the Green Star juicer can handle even the greens with extreme FIBROUS stems, such as nettles and mature alfalfa, which often ranges from 1-3 feet long. Even the Green Star jams sometimes when juicing these kinds of fibrous greens. When we lived in the USA, we didn’t have access to alfalfa and nettles like the kind we have here, so it wasn’t an issue for us to use the Hurom for all our juicing. We actually did a video back there, comparing the Green Star and the Hurom Juicer, which can be seen by clicking HERE. [...]

Thank you SO much, Matt and Angela! I super-appreciate your video. I just have two questions remaining:

(1) Are the yields the same? When you juiced the same amount of produce, which juicer produced more juice?

(2) How long does it take to clean up the Hurom juicer?

Thanks so much!

awww MAN!! i bought a new Green Star 2 years ago. i want the Hurom now. although i do have to say - the green star can make nut butters and i also use it to grind sprouted grains to make into dehydrated breads - though i could probably use the processor for that. i could probably use the Vitamix for nut butters though i do enjoy the slow-ground process (or does the Hurom do nut butters too?)

in any case, my FAVORITE thing to juice is cucumber, and the Green Star does a poor job. the backup of cucumber pulp in the chute is all too common at my home - every morning. i also stay away from juicing fruits but i wish i could juice them more for my toddler. he would drink greens if he had berry or pear juice in them.

well, thanks for doing this!

How about another show which compares how easy and/or hard the juicers are to clean? This is a major consideration when buying a juicer. I currently don't own one and use my Vitamix and a nut milk bag to make my juice. If the Hurom is easy to clean I may consider getting one.
