Like father, like daughter? This picture just cracks me up! I think it’s the eyebrows that does it!  Yep, this picture is blasted all over my desktop and my heart just blows up every time I look at it 
Before I get into telling the story of how Oria has never touched a diaper in her entire four months of life, I just wanted to remind you that you have just about 72 hours left to enjoy March’s and April’s ‘At-Cost’ specials at the same time!

Just the other day my friend, who is also a father, was over, and we were hanging out in the front ro0m while I was holding Oria.
With a smile I said out loud, “OH! Oria has to go to the bathroom!” So I took her over to the kitchen sink, I helped her to pe*e and then I came back. My friend looked at me in astonishment and asked if I made it to the sink in time. I chuckled and said, “Of course I did! What are you talking about?! She just told me she had to go to the bathroom.”
Before I go deeper into this “DiaperFree” concept, I am going to tell you straight off the bat that the elimination techniques that we use with Oria are so much easier and way more convenient compared to any diaper wearing technique out there. It’s as convenient as breastfeeding is compared to formula bottle feeding where you have to warm unnatural food up instead of just rolling over in bed and giving your child a breast.
Just like after we read Laura Shanley’s book, “Unassisted Childbirth“, we were convinced to do an unassisted childbirth, it was Ingrid Bauer’s book, “DiaperFree“, that made it obvious to us that using diapers was a big, obvious “no”. If you read “DiaperFree”, I am pretty confident that you wouldn’t even think to put a diaper on your child either.

How did I know that Oria had to go to the bathroom when my friend was over?
She simply told me with a little uncomfortable cry. Oria can’t even stand the thought it seems of eliminating on herself and she does everything in her power to let us know when she needs to go.
 Before I tell you why being “DiaperFree” is so effortless compared to wearing diapers, I want to explain to you how profitable the diaper industry is. in case you don’t realize. Through the media, the diaper industry will do everything it can to make wearing diapers a ‘worldwide’ accepted phenomenon… and… they’ve succeeded in a huge way. Do you realize that every single disposable diaper that was ever in existance is still in existance, because they don’t break down? The diaper industry is one of the most harmful industries not only to the Earth, but also the human race’s health and even intelligence.
 In the books “DiaperFree” and “Magical Child“, by Joseph Chilton Pearce, they both give examples of how native people in developing countries would laug*h wholeheartedly at the foreign visitors who, with their big wide eyes were simply astonished that the native children didn’t wear diapers. The foreigners would ask questions like, “how do you know when your child has to go to the bathroom?” The natives would just laug*h and say, “What do you mean? They tell us.”
This world is so upside down and the majority of people are brainwashed through the media. Here is a quick, simple and surely incomplete list of what the “elite class” has encouraged soc!ety to adopt as “normal”, while profiting big time at the expense of the human rac*e:

Yeah, I know… the thought of your baby not using diapers probably seems foreign to many of you.
Why is having your child diaperless way easier than using diapers?
First off, after the first month or so of the baby’s life, it’s extremely easy to catc*h the majority of times where the baby wants to go to the bathroom. From my perspective Oria is already “potty trained” and she honestly doesn’t want to eliminate on herself. The times she misses is simply due to us not catching her cues.
 Oria’s entire wardrobe consists of long elasticated-bottom gowns, leg warmers and socks, to make it even easier to catc*h her elimination. The times you miss the baby’s cue and she eliminates on a blanket, her clothes, or your clothes, compared to taking the diaper off, washing the baby’s entire bottom backside up, putting some sort of balm on the baby’s bum from diaper rash, and putting on another diaper, you can simply take your one piece of clothing off or throw that blanket in the laundrey basket. You could consider it the same thing, though much easier!
When we are in public, Angela, Oria and I try even extra hard to make sure we successfully catc*h all of her eliminations. After the two month mark, I can’t recall one time out in public where we didn’t catc*h an elimination. Instead of bringing an entire bulky diaper bag full of supplies with us, we just bring one set of clothes each, just in case. So easy!
Additionally, from my point of view, there are clear health complications in diaper wearing. Besides the obvious urine and feces pressed up against the child’s skin for extended periods of time, I’ve met many DiaperFree children who don’t seem to have that “waddling” walk from years of wearing diapers. I just don’t see how that could be good for a baby’s hips.
Elimination Communication or “DiaperFree” is like getting back to the roots of where we came from. This practice is universal and instinctive. The way it works is whenever the baby goes to the bathroom, you make an accompanying sound. The most common universal sound that parents make when the baby is peeing is “ssssssssss”. So now, all I do to help Oria go to the bathroom is I lift her gown up and I say “ssssssssss” and she pees. It’s that simple.
This is all explained in the “DiaperFree” book. In the book it explains many different methods for catching all of the baby’s eliminations. For example, timing is one way. Every once in a while I just randomly take her to pe*e and the majority of the times she goes or she’ll let me know by a small cry that she doesn’t want to go. Listening for cues is my favorite method. You’ll disc0ver what the baby’s cues are such as squirming or crying. The only time I really ever miss one of her eliminations is simply when I don’t pay attention to her cues. Intuition is Angela’s main way of knowing when Oria has to eliminate. Sometimes I am just sitting there and Angela says, “she has to pe*e!” Sure enough, she’s always right.

Some would probably argue that Angela and I are not the “fast-paced” type people with the desires of going out on the town to fancy restaurants many times a week, which makes “DiaperFree” easier to do. It’s true, we generally go to bed early, are at home most of the time and on occasion we take morning or day trips out. However, we’d have it no other way but being DiaperFree. Nothing else makes logical sense to us
