Kale is one of the healthiest leafy greens on the planet. It belongs to the Brassica family that includes cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, collards, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.

Kale has been on the forefront of the leafygreen, superfood rage! Add this dense nutritious powder to your smoothies, green drinks, or eat it by the spoonful. You can even add it to juice that already includes kale, for the ULTIMATE kale experience!

This kale is grown in a pristine farm with clean well water, clean air and land that is nutrient rich and fertilized with Ocean Grown TM concentrated minerals, for optimum mineral uptake.

This kale immediately freeze dried after harvest. The freeze dry process keeps the delicate nutrients intact that would be denatured during air-drying.

Kale, like other members of the brassica family, contains sulforaphane and indole-3-carbinol, that protect against various types of cancer. Di-indolyl- methane (DIM) a metabolite of indole-3-carbinol has been found to be an effective immune modulator, anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent through its action of potentiating interferon-gamma receptors.

In addition to a megadose of beta-carotene, kales posses other important carotenoids: lutein and zeaxathin. These flavonoids have strong anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activities. Zeaxanthin is selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea in the eyes where it is thought to provide antioxidant and protective light-filtering functions. Thus, it helps prevent retinal detachment and offers protection against age related macular degeneration disease.

Kale provides a megadose of vitamin K. Vitamin K is necessary for the synthesis of osteocalcin, a protein that strengthens the composition of our bones. Vitamin K also prevents calcium build-up in our tissue that can lead to atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseas end stroke. Vitamin K is essential for synthesizing Sphingolipid, the fat needed to maintain the myelin sheath aroung our nerves, and therefor our nervous system as a whole. A megadose of vitamin K is also anti-inflamitory.

Kale is notably good in many B-complex group of vitamins such as niacinpyridoxine, thiamin, and pantothenic acid.
