The Mycelium Magic 8 is a blend of organic, freeze dried mycelium powder that consists of the following 8 mushrooms: Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps, Turkey Tail, Lion’s Mane, Shiitake, Maitake, and Agarigus Blazei.

The mycelium in this blend are the most popular, most researched, mushrooms with the most known health benefits.

There are two parts of the mushroom. One is the fruiting body and the other is the mycelium portion. This product consists of the mycelium portion with small amounts of the primordial (baby fruiting) mushroom

We distribute our mycelium in bulk, as we consider our mushroom products to be food, which should be eaten by the tablespoonful, or added to smoothies and raw recipes. One heaping tablespoon equals approximately 20 capsules.

This is a raw product. There are many definitions of raw. This is the process that our mushrooms go through that results in our consideration of them as a raw product: The mycelium are grown, immediately freeze dried, milled into a powder, laboratory tested, and packaged.

Our definition of raw is NOT:

Air dried mycelium, which oxidizes and denatures delicate compounds

Air or freeze dried at low temperature, then autoclaved or baked

One only has to eat a serving to feel the benefits of the many highly nutritious and beneficial compounds that are kept intact, that are normally destroyed in air drying, autoclaved or baked processes.

This mycelium product has high bioavailability. Chitin, which is always indigestible, whether heated or raw, is in very low concentration in mycelium.

The fruiting bodies have a much higher chitin content. This is why heat and extraction methods make sense with the fruiting body.

All Foods for Longevity products are packaged in a high oxygen barrier bag. After each use, squeeze all of the air out and re-seal the bag. Generally there is no need to refrigerate. *If planning on storing long term, a bit cooler environment is helpful.*
