About the Film Maker

"It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when I first became interested in healing. Probably though, it was after I met a slightly eccentric and wonderful woman whilst traveling in Chile. She was a Reiki Master and I guess she saw the healer in me, because no sooner had we met than she'd started me on a fast track that followed a similar course.

The laying on of hands is probably as old as time itself, and to lay hands on someone and feel the energy start to course from the top of your head and out through your hands is usually a treat for both the receiver and giver, which is why Reiki is such a gift.

Fast forward a few years and whilst most people were still recovering from their millennium hangover, I was in hospital recovering from a serious motor vehicle accident. It took two years to fully get back on my feet and after having some of my vertebrae fused, small intestine removed and a bunch of eye muscle surgeries, I felt ready to start afresh.

Through a series of seemingly unrelated events, I met a filmmaker who worked with me on a script about healing. Having no previous film experience, I enthusiastically wandered into the Hollywood maze trying to figure out how to get the film made. It took a few years before it became apparent that if I really was serious about this, then I needed to take matters into my own hands, buy a camera and start filming a documentary myself – at least that was something I could do on my own without trying to get the attention of a Hollywood studio.

Four years later and HEAL YOUR SELF was born. It may not be technically perfect, in fact, I know it isn’t. But it is all from the heart, and those that I interviewed all spoke from the heart. And I believe that all of us share a common goal – to help people help themselves.

No matter what state of health you may be in right now, we are all on a healing journey of one type or another. We are all here now at the same time, sharing our resources, our planet, with one another.

What is the shelf life of Surthrival Pine Pollen?

Shelf life of Pine Pollen Tincture and dry pine pollen is indefinite.

How long should I take Pine Pollen?

What is the difference between the powder, tincture, and capsules?

The raw pine pollen is more of a food, and will be targeting the entire system, whereas the tincture is bypasses the GI tract, more effectively raising androgen levels.

Is pine pollen for men and women?

The short answer…both. For building energy and vitality, in men and women, especially at menopause/andropause, pine pollen is fantastic.

Are there any side effects?

Although uncommon, a small percentage of people are allergic to pine pollen (about 1.5%-10% of the population depending on location). Allergies are generally mild ranging from rhinoconjunctivitis to mild asthma in extremely susceptible people.

If you have any previous sensitivity to pollens, you may want to begin slowly with pine pollen, beginning with a tiny doses, until you are positive that there is no sensitivity.

What are the recommended dosages for Pine Pollen?

To Raise androgen levels:

Tincture: Full dropper 3x daily or as desired (30 drops, 1.5 ml, or 3/8 tsp 3x daily). Hold in the mouth for a minute, and then swallow. This allows more contact with the mucous membranes of the throat and esophagus and increases the amount that is taken into the blood stream.

*Because the pollen, when taken as pill or powder, must travel through the GI tract and its digestive processes, it is much less effective or raising androgen levels than the tincture.

As tonic, nutritive, and adaptogen:

Capsules: 2-3 capsules, 2-3x daily—or the equivalent of powder, in other words: 4.5-9 grams daily (Approx 1.5 to 3 tsp daily).

Are there any potential risks with other herb/drug interactions?

There are no listings in anecdotal reports of Pine Pollen powder or tincture interaction, positive or negative.
