Hi, I'm Avi Dalene!<br><br>

Whole food plant based nutrition helped me gain brain function back after an accident that resulted in traumatic Brain Injury devastated my world.  But it wasn't only my world that was affected my children
my extended family my employer, the company's clients and everyone I came into contact with
were also affected by this. <br><br>

After 5 years of participating in various and multiple therapies designed to get my brain function back, 
my extensive rehabilitation team had exhausted their healing methodologies, and determined there was nothing more they could do for me, I was released into the world to live the life I had left. <br><br>

Brain injury sucked
I spent most days between my bed and the coach feeling confused, frustrated and disconnected while I tried to figure out the simplest tasks just to make it through each day. this presents problems in the first place then, try having a brain injury while being a single parent raising two rambunctious elementary school aged boys. <br><br>


I kept looking for that "thing" that the doctors might have overlooked or not have  known about yet, but would be the key to me gaining my brain function back. <br><br>

And then I found it. Could it be as simple as incorporating more fruits and vegetables into my mealtimes without cooking them? <br><br>

I was pro active I sought out information I was reading about the many people and their myriad of symptoms  that had been removed or diminished  by preparing and eating food this way. <br><br>

I kept looking for my hero~ the one with the brain injury that "went raw" and lived to tell about it and her adventure in getting her life back. But I couldn't find that one amongst the magnitude of reported experiences. However, I did notice many of the same symptoms I was having with my experience of  traumatic brain injury that were being transformed by people without brain injury and I began to wonder. <br><br>

Could I be relieved of or reduce these symptoms 
even though my symptoms of the same name were caused 
from traumatic brain injury? <br><br>

chronic fatigue, hypertension, clinical depression, neurological overwhelm
cognitive fatigue, short term memory loss, brain fog, thinking through mud, constant pain in my body and in my head, difficulty sleeping, obesity, just to name a few. <br><br>

So I decided to become my own experiment to see how much, if any, brain power I could get back
and to see how healthy my body could get overall.

(Weight regulation is one interesting side effect. And  I was definitely interested to see if I could really lose those 50 pounds I had put on after the injury) <br><br>

The Before and After photos of people in the books and on the internet were really quite astonishing-
the sharp contrast in complexion, body size, and most of all those eyes.  Vibrancy radiated from their eyes and oozed out of every pore.  I wanted that I wanted vibrancy I wanted to radiate just by being. <br><br>

I knew one thing if I kept on doing what I was doing the life I was sent home to live consisted of 
early dementia, diabetes, a very high probability of Parkinson's disease, and those are just the fun ones  I already had hypertension and clinical depression (99.9 % of people with brain injury are gifted with this). <br><br>

And I was beyond miserable 24/7  with pain all over my body including non stop head aches mostly at the site of impact not to mention an almost constant state of confusion I seemed to always be looking for something I could not find as I went from room to room, task to task. <br><br>

I am really quite astonished that at the age of 38, it was accepted by the general population that I was having "senior moments". Someone mentioned to me that I was just thirty years or so ahead of my time
and waived it off with a chuckle. <br><br>


I am here to suggest  the possibility that this is not the way it has to be. <br><br>


Can you imagine being in a deep depression for 5 years and then within the first 7 days of eating this way it simply lifts?  Could it be possible that what highly educated professionals accept as inherent in 
99.9 % of the TBI population might not need to be a symptom at all? <br><br>

I didn't have to be depressed for the rest of my life! Can you imagine having a non stop head ache and body pains for 5 years  and then, after changing your diet within 2 weeks you notice its complete absence and feeling pain becomes foreign again? <br><br>

I didn't have to suffer from this chronic pain that many of us thought I would have for the rest of my life because my brain was injured and couldn't come back<br><br>


Can you imagine being told you will never work again and that your thought processes where as good as they were going to get then   in less time than all those years in rehabilitation therapies having your brain "click back online" and what you are able to create is a way to make an income and empower others? <br><br>
