At first I was a little skeptical about all this. However, as I started to dig deeper and researched all of the details, I came upon some clinical trials that shows that Yacon Syrup has the potential to produce a significant decrease in body we!ght, waist circumference and body mass index. Furthermore, it has the potential to increase defecation frequency, improve transit time and satiety sensation. It also has the potential to have positive results on diabetes, by reducing blood glucose levels, glycemia, cholesterol and so much more. In just a moment, I will show you all of the clinical trials that show all of this.
This all began a month ago, when Dr. Oz shared an entire episode on Yacon Syrup and its we!ght loss benefits. Hours after this show, every single physical and online store ran out of Yacon Syrup, within the first day, except for us, because we are the biggest suppliers of Yacon Syrup in the world. Once this Dr. Oz show broke loose, we were handling 5 orders a minute for a week straight for Yacon Syrup. Our business went through a major transformation over the last month as we scrambled to handle two months' worth of orders within a one week period of time.
If you want to see the Dr. Oz Yacon Syrup episode trailer for yourself, check out the video below:

Check out their results!:
73% of the women lost we!ght
35% of the women lost five pounds or more
Average weight loss was 2.9 pounds
Average reduction in waist size was 1.9 inches
Total weight lost among all the women was 153 pounds
68% of the women recommended yacon as a weight loss tool
Ok... So Yacon Syrup being on Dr. Oz's show is one thing, but the research that I am about to share with you now is just mind-blowing!
In a clinical study at the link here, obese and slightly dyslipidemic pre-menopausal women were studied over a 120-day period in a double-blind placebo-controlled experiment. The Results... Daily intake of yacon syrup produced a significant decrease in body we!ght, waist circumference and body mass index. Additionally, decrease in fasting serum insulin and Homeostasis Model Assessment index was observed. The consumption of yacon syrup increased defecation frequency and satiety sensation. Fasting glucose and serum lipids were not affected by syrup treatment and the only positive effect was found in serum LDL-cholester0l levels. The conclusion of this clinical study shows that Yacon Syrup is a good source of fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and its long-term consumption produced beneficial health effects on obese pre-menopausal women with insulin resistance.
When I saw that clinical study above, my jaw dropped. However, it just lead me to numerous other clinical studies and I came across information on how Yacon is probably one of the top Superfoods for people with Diabetes. Although in the clinical study above it states that it is beneficial for women with Insulin Resistance, other studies also show that the Yacon Root has the potential to reduce blood glucose levels! Keep in mind that Yacon Syrup is an incredible-tasting sweetener, and it is said to have the potential to reduce blo0d glucose levels!
Here is a list of more clinical studies, which show the benefits of Yacon Root for Diabetics:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23770327 (Controls hunger too!)
I can now see why Yacon Root has been used in traditional Andean medicine as a substitute for cane sugar in diabetes and for obesity prevention!
The clinical study here shows that Yacon is not toxic and has beneficial metabolic activity. The clinical study here states that the daily consumption of yacon does not exert negative effects on the immune system, helps to preserve an anti-inflammatory state in phagocytic cells, and improves mucosal immunity, possibly preventing the risks associated with autoimmune and metabolic diseases.
Furthermore, Yacon seems to be one of the best Superfoods in the world for the colon. You know I'm a big fan of colon care! Check this out!
In the clinical study here, a significant reduction in cell proliferation in colonic crypts and tumors and short chain fatty acids caecal contents was observed in the groups orally treated with 1.0% yacon. Therefore, the findings in this study indicate that Yacon intake may reduce the development of chemically-induced colon cance*r. The clinical trial here further emphasizes the colon health results in that last study, and the clinical study here shows that Yacon have the potential to markedly accelerates colon transit in healthy individuals.
Now that a month has gone by, if you look online, we are still practically the only company with Yacon Syrup in stock. Most online stores have stated for over a month now, "Available in 2 - 3 weeks". There are a couple of sites that supposedly put Yacon Syrup in caps in a supplement bottle with half nude women all over it, which is obviously some kind of a snake-oil hoax, from my perspective. The other couple of sources of Yacon Syrup out there are charging $40 per bottle, and I would be surprised if they aren't dilluted or adulterated products.
In Peru, we have all of the main Yacon Syrup producers working for us around the clock importing thousands of bottles of Syrup to us every week. We've pretty much secured the majority of the year's crop of Yacon. That being said, it's impossible that all of these so-called Yacon Syrups out there are really Yacon, because there is only so much raw material available, and currently, the yacon prices have doubled. So beware of diluted and adulterated products, and know your source.
Yes, the demand for Yacon Syrup skyrocketed, because it was on Dr. Oz. However, it wouldn't have skyrocketed nearly as much if Dr. Oz didn't do a test on 40 women participants, to see the weight loss effects it might have on them over a 30-day time period. Yep!... 40 women were directed to take a teaspoon of Yacon Syrup before each meal. Furthermore, they were told not to change their usual diets or exercise habits.
The reason I didn't mention all this to you a month ago is because we literally were on the edge of keeping up our stock levels. As 5000 bottles came in, 5000 bottles would go out and so on. Finally, we have received the motherload of Yacon Syrup and our stock levels are plenty huge!
Below is a good explanation from the Dr. Oz website on why Yacon Syrup works. I found the clinical study here where they state Yacon has the potential to help increase bone density and delay the progression of Osteoprosis. Here is the clinical trial that shows the prebiotic effects of Yacon and also it being a source of FOS and phenolic compounds with antioxidant activity.
How It Works:
Yacon Syrup is high in prebiotics, such as inulin and fructooligosaccharides (FOS). The concentration of FOS, which are sugars found naturally in many plants, is particularly high in Yacon Syrup. FOS resist breakdown by enzymes in the human digest!ve system and reach the colon without being digested. This means that Yacon Syrup is very low in calories (about 20 calories per tablespoon). FOS also acts as a soluble fiber, which increases stool bulk to help prevent and control constipat!on.
Yacon's FOS also help feed beneficial bacteria in the colon such as Bifidus and Lactobacillus. Studies have linked these good bowel bacteria to anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting effects, and increasing their numbers may help maintain a healthy we!ght. In turn, these bacteria convert FOS to short-chain fatty acids, which help inhibit ch0lesterol synthesis in the liver and enhance tissue sensitivity to insulin. FOS has also been shown to modulate the production of certain gastrointestinal peptides that participate in gastric emptying rates and help regulate insulin levels and food intake. Yacon, therefore, may also help control appetite and food cravings, helping people eat less. Yacon has the potential to help with metabolic syndrome, high ch0lesterol and diabetes.
The potential benefits don't end there. Yacon consumption also appears to increase absorption of dietary minerals, and may make calcium more bioavailable. Studies have shown this could help increase bone density and delay the progression of osteoporosis. Studies also show that neutraceuticals, especially fructans such as Yacon, may increase the efficiency of the immune system, lower infection risk and reduce digest!ve allerg!es.
Yacon Syrup does seem to be a miraculous food product, at least in my eyes. I feel it can help numerous people with so many different challenges!
