There is no heavy industry at all there. All energy is geothermal, the population of Iceland is less than 350,000 people and their main industries are sustainable fishing, lamb, cheese/dairy, wool and aquaculture.
These Icelandic Seaweeds are hand harvested from remote waters in the southwest region of Iceland, the seaweeds are dried at 80 degrees F, and all energy used is geothermal, thus sustainable.

Sweet Kelp is a fat free food that is rich in dietary and soluble fiber, iodine, magnesium, potassium and calcium.
Sweet kelp is closely related to Japanese Kombu, and is also known as Royal Kombu or Neptune's Belt. In Icelandic it is called beltispari.
Sweet Kelp has a sweeter taste than other types of Kelp or Kombu and can be used as a wrapper around all sorts of fod, as well as a flavors enhancer in a miso sauce, cut up in salads or on any vegetable dish.
For best results, soak in water for at least 30 minutes.
